Fully Funded World Bank Scholarship Program 2023: Outstanding and appropriately qualified students from developing nations enrolling in master’s degree programmes in development-related topics are eligible for the Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship Program. Expect to submit an application during the window from March to May.

JJWBGSP offers scholarships for 48 Participating Programs at universities in the United States, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Japan in essential development fields such economic policy management, tax policy, and infrastructure management, subject to funding availability. Please be aware that you cannot apply for a JJWBGSP Scholarship in 2023 if you are not accepted into one of these 48 programmes.

Application Procedures

How-to-Apply: Submit One Online Application: For the second application window, only one completed electronic application through the online application portal will be accepted and examined.

An application is deemed finished if it contains:

i. Proof that the applicant satisfies the eligibility criterion with regard to the number of years of recent development-related activity. (For information on the quantity and types of documentation that must be uploaded, see the FAQs.)

(ii) The diploma for the applicant’s bachelor’s degree and, if relevant, the diploma for their most recent graduate degree.  (Never post a transcript in place of a diploma. Do not include one.

(iii) A curriculum vitae prepared in English and following the format in Annex 4 (or French for the GPE program at FERDI only). Do not list any unpaid labour in your resume. Alternatively, you can add a category called “Volunteer Work.” in your CV and list under that heading unpaid internships or other unpaid work.

(iv) Unconditional (except for financing) Letter of Admission for the upcoming academic year to the JJ/WBGSP participating master’s program.
