These scholarships are intended to encourage and support doctoral (PhD) study at Victoria University of Wellington. All Wellington Doctoral Scholarship offers consist of $29,500 per annum plus local tuition fees for up to three years.

Victoria University of Wellington PhD Scholarships | details
Scholarships are offered to the highest-ranking candidates in any Ph.D. and scholarship application round throughout the year. To be considered for a Wellington PhD Scholarship, an applicant must have a strong academic record and excellent academic references, or:
- Proven high-quality research potential; or
- Publishing record in high-quality journals commensurate with experience and education.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the Victoria University of Wellington PhD Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be international students
- Doctoral (PhD) applicants
- These scholarships are open to graduates of any university within or outside New Zealand
- Who intends to enroll full time for a doctorate (PhD)
- Applicants who have commenced PhD study at Victoria University of Wellington
