USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program for Studies in the United States 2024

USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship: We welcome applications from eligible candidates who are keen on enhancing their expertise in conflict management, peacebuilding, and pertinent security studies for the USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program 2024.

This initiative is backed by the United States Institute of Peace and grants up to 18 fellowships annually, along with providing assistance during the research and writing phases of dissertation work. We particularly encourage individuals from demographics historically underrepresented in the realms of international relations, peace and conflict studies, security studies, and other related academic fields to apply.

USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program 2024 | Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship 2024, applicants must satisfy the following prerequisites:

1. Applicants must be Ph.D. candidates engaged in high-quality, policy-relevant research that will advance comprehension of conflict management, peacebuilding, and other pertinent security-related studies.
2. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic and research capabilities.

Application Procedures

How to Apply: Prospective applicants for the USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program 2023 should initially register for a FLUXX account to access the application system, following these steps:

1. Visit the FLUXX registration page.
2. Click “Register for an account” located on the right side of the page.
3. Choose “Peace Scholars” as the competition type.
4. Specify if you wish to be considered for either a USIP-funded Peace Scholar fellowship or a Minerva-funded Peace and Security Fellowship, or express no preference.
5. Upon completing the form, select “Submit Request.”
6. Within 24 business hours, applicants will receive a FLUXX confirmation email containing a username and password.

Applicants should then proceed to generate and submit an application using the login credentials provided, adhering to the steps outlined below:

1. Access the FLUXX application page.
2. Enter the username and password sent in the FLUXX confirmation email.
3. Click “Draft Applications” in the left toolbar to initiate a blank draft application.
4. Commence inputting information in the draft application. Note that FLUXX does not auto-save, so be sure to save your work regularly.
5. Review your work prior to submitting your application. Once an application has been submitted, it cannot be edited or modified.
