Eligibility Criteria | Romanian government grants
Scholarships are open to citizens of countries outside the European Union. To be eligible, the scholarship applicant must:
- send a complete file;
- Submission of study documents issued by accredited/recognized educational institutions in the country where they were issued;
- compliance with the registration deadline;
- Have good results in education, respectively, average years of schooling, for the last time
You graduated from school with at least 7 (seven) matching Romania’s registration system or grade ‘good’, as the case may be; - Compliance with the application methodology.
ineligibility
The following exceptions are for persons who do not qualify under this program:
- Citizens of Romanian origin or who are part of Romanian historical communities close to Romania (they are entitled to various scholarship programs);
- Citizens who have requested or obtained some form of protection in Romania;
- stateless persons whose stay on the territory of Romania is officially recognized in accordance with the law;
- members of the diplomatic and consular corps or family members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited in Romania;
- members of the administrative and technical staff of diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited to Romania;
- employees of international organizations located in Romania or family members of employees of international organizations located in Romania;
- Recipients of a scholarship from the Romanian State for the same course of study.
Grant benefits
The scholarship awarded, including the preparatory year where applicable, consists of:
- education financing fees;
- Financing the expenses of accommodation in dormitories, through the budget of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, within the limits of the subsidy allocated for this purpose (housing will be provided within the limits of available places);
- Monthly financial aid grants as follows: the equivalent of 65 € lei for undergraduate students; The equivalent of a lei of 75 euros for master’s and specialization students, the equivalent of a lei of 85 euros for doctoral students.
