Applications are now been accepted for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 Scholarship Awards for DAAD Development Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) Open to candidates from developing countries to study in Germany. DAAD EPOS Scholarships are awarded to foreign students from developing and newly industrialized countries to study for a master’s or doctoral degree in Germany.
Through its development-oriented postgraduate programmes, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from developing and newly industrialized countries. Well-trained local experts who are networked with international partners play an important role in the sustainable development of their countries.

DAAD Development-Related Postgraduate Scholarships (EPOS) 2024 | details
The scholarships offer foreign graduates from developing and newly industrialized countries of all disciplines and with at least two years of professional experience the opportunity to obtain a postgraduate or master’s degree at a state or state-recognised German university, and in exceptional cases to obtain a Ph.D. for a university degree Obtaining a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.

Scholarship benefits
- Depending on the academic level, monthly payments of €861 for graduates or €1,200 for doctoral candidates
- Payments for health, accident and personal liability insurance coverage
- Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding.
Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:
- Monthly rental subsidy
- Monthly allowance for accompanying family members.
