Another application round is open for Austrian Scholarships for Development Cooperation 2023/2024. Every year students from developing countries wish Study in Austria You get a funding opportunity from the Austrian Development Cooperation Organization to cover fees and living expenses.
The Austrian Development Cooperation Program offers two types of scholarships:
- Scholarship for ADC Priority Countries
- Scholarships for other developing countries

Austrian Scholarships for Development Cooperation 2023/2024 | eligibility
Scholarships are generally awarded to ADC priority countries and other developing countries as follows;
Scholarship for ADC priority countries
It is restricted to applicants from the following countries:
- Ethiopia
- Uganda
- Burkina Faso
- Mozambique
- Bhutan
- Palestinian territories
- Georgia
- Armenia
Scholarships for developing countries
Open to all developing countries by definition
Eligible fields
The Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarships 2022/2023 can be used for any of the modules below.
Public unit including private units:
- Hospitality Management Unit OR
- Tourism Management Unit
Additional unit: Teacher Training Unit (TT)
Scholarship benefits
For ADC, the scholarship includes:
- Expenses
- Accommodation
- Flight tickets (from the home country to Salzburg and back)
- health insurance
- Food from Monday to Sunday
- Excursions (excluding field trips to ITB Berlin)
- 205 euros – pocket money per month
While for other developing countries, the scholarship includes:
- Expenses
- health insurance
- Food from Monday – Friday
- Trips (excluding ITB Berlin)
- 205 euros – pocket money per month
Application procedures
How to applyPlease be aware that scholarship application is not automatic and highly competitive. Follow the steps below to apply;
- Get information about ITH at the Austrian Consulate or Embassy
- Download the ITH application form. Austrian embassies and consulates also have this form.
- Application Process – All applications must be sent directly to the Institute via post.
Which means the institute must receive the latest application by March 22nd. - Confirmation – You will be notified of the outcome of your application by the end of April. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will receive an acceptance letter.
Program schedule:

- Course Duration: 01 October 2023 – 16 June 2024
