The Center for Educational Measurement at the University of Oslo (CEMO) is currently welcoming applications from international students for its Gustafson and Skrundal Visiting Scholarship.
The scholarship will cover travel and housing costs related to Gustafson and Skrundal Investigator Stay at CEMO. In addition, you will receive office space for free, access to appropriate technical equipment and the university library as well as free access to courses offered by CEMO.

University of Oslo Gustavsson and Skrundal Visiting Scholarship | details
The Visiting Scholar Program hosts young researchers from Norway and abroad each year to engage in collaborative research and to participate in and enrich the research community at CEMO and the University of Oslo.
All Gustafsson & Skrondal Scholars are expected to embody the principles of sound scientific research and the intellectual vigor of their namesake.
Eligibility criteria
In order to be eligible for the Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be international students
- Applicants from other regions, including intergovernmental and not-for-profit organizations.
- Scholars generally must have a Ph.D. or equivalent.
- Applications will be assessed according to their match with CEMO’s research disciplines, as well as their research quality and CEMO residency plans.
- Visiting scholars are expected to be in residence for the duration of their stay, which shall be of approximately six months (minimum three, nine months maximum).
- Each researcher is expected to make presentations during his study period on his research and to present the results of his stay at CEMO.

Candidate visiting researchers must submit the following:
- Biography
- A two-page personal statement that includes
- A description of the project you intend to work on during your stay
- The expected outcome of the scholarship remained at CEMO
- The name of the CEMO team member(s) you plan to work with and how your proposal relates to their expertise. Please contact the members of the CEMO team before submitting your application and inquire about possibilities for cooperation. Preference will be given to applicants who share interests with more than one member of the CEMO team
- Expected contribution to CEMO
- Suggested start and end dates
- The names and contact information of two professional references, one of whom could be a member of the CEMO team.
