A OVERVIEW OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The application process for the fully funded scholarships at Cape Breton University in Canada will soon open.
CBU offers both undergraduate and graduate options in more than 20 academic programs and 60 different fields of study.
Thanks to the generous donations of donors, $2.6 million in scholarships and bursaries are made available to students enrolling at CBU each year.
Those who enter the workforce directly out of high school or through articulation agreements with partners are given consideration for entry scholarships based on their academic performance.
CAPE BRETON UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS’ BENEFITS
The number of credits eligible students are enrolled in during the semester in which they receive the scholarship determines how much of it they will receive.
Scholarships will be promptly posted to recipients’ accounts in the upcoming Fall or Winter semester (roughly two weeks after the Add/Drop deadline in September and January, respectively) if they are taking at least 9 credits in the semester in which they receive the award.
If a student is eligible and has 15 credits registered, they will receive $500.
Those who meet the requirements and have 12 credits registered will receive $400.
Those who meet the requirements and have nine credits registered will receive $300.
Academic Internal The Spring/Summer semester and its associated courses are not given as scholarship opportunities (except for students registered in the Bachelor of Science Nursing in terms 5 and 8).
Student Eligibility requirements
following every Fall and Winter semester. Applicants must fulfill a minimum of 9 credits during a Fall or Winter semester with an overall average of at least 80% in order to qualify. They must also not be receiving a renewable scholarship.
These scholarships are not available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education or Master of Business Administration programs. For more information on eligibility, students registered with the Jennifer Keeping Center can email awards@cbu.ca.

Entrance scholarships
provided to new CBU students who can demonstrate a significant financial need in order to start their studies will be taken into consideration. Every year, the application opens in January and closes in March.
Students must also submit official income tax records for both themselves and any accompanying parents or guardians. These scholarships are given out in September upon enrollment.
