Commonwealth Distance Learning MA Scholarships | Eligibility criteria
To be considered for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Masters Scholarships 2023/24, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of, or have been granted refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British protected person
- Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
- Have a first degree at least second class upper (2:1). Lower qualifications and sufficient relevant experience may be considered in certain cases.
- You cannot afford to study the program without this scholarship.
Application procedures
How to apply: Interested applicants for the 2023/24 Commonwealth Masters Scholarship must apply for and secure admission to study an approved Masters course at a participating UK university as well as apply for a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship via CSC Online Application System.
To complete the application form, applicants will be required to:
- List all undergraduate and postgraduate undergraduate qualifications obtained
- List up to 10 publications and awards
- Provide details of their employment history and explain how each job relates to the program to be performed
- Provide a statement about the relevance of previous work experience to the proposed scholarship
- List the names and positions of two referees who are eligible to comment on the candidate’s ability to benefit from the proposed scholarship in the UK and their ability to make a developmental impact thereafter. One of the referees must be your current employer (if any)
- The development impact statement is presented in 4 parts.
