Therle Drake Postgraduate Scholarship | details

The Therle Drake Postgraduate Scholarship was established in 2013, via the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation, through a bequest from John Drake, in memory of his wife, Therle.

All scholarship offers will be conditional on the recipient being fully enrolled in a full-year program (full-time will be at the point level considered by Studylink as full-time) within the stipulated criteria and scholarship period.

Eligibility criteria

In order to be eligible for the Therle Drake Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:

• The scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, and international students.
• Applicants must be fully enrolled in full-time study at the University.
• Applicants must be enrolled or undertaking postgraduate studies at Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.
• The scholarship can include the student attending a short training course; or attending and/or participating in a concert and/or master class in Europe, North America, or Australia.
• The scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, and international students.

Application procedures

How to apply: To be considered for a Therle Drake Postgraduate Scholarship, a completed online application must be submitted by 4.30pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Any required supporting documents (including references) must also be received by 4:30 PM on the closing date for the application to be considered.
