Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship SI | details
The scholarship is for a full-time, one- or two-year master’s program and is funded by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Swedish Institute opens a call for applications once a year for master’s studies starting in the autumn semester.
Applicants must have a clear idea of ​​how their education can contribute to the sustainable development of their home countries and regions. In 2023, the Swedish Institute will award about 250 scholarships for master’s degrees in Sweden.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be citizens of one of our 41 eligible countries
- Applicants must have sufficient documented evidence of work and leadership experience
- Applicants must also follow the steps to apply for university admission and be accepted into one of the master’s programs on time.
Grant benefit
Successful applicants will receive the following benefits:
- Full tuition coverage. Fees are paid directly by SI to your Swedish university at the beginning of each semester.
- A monthly payment of SEK 11,000 to cover living expenses for the duration of the study.
- Sickness and accident insurance.
- Travel grant. This is a one-time payment and does not apply to students already living in Sweden.

Save the number as you will need it when applying for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals. Your application will be disqualified if you type the wrong number in the online application form
