The Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) program awards scholarships to approximately a dozen students each year. The maximum value is $10,000 USD per academic year for a maximum of two years.

GSEP and ESED Scholarship Program for Developing Countries | details
With the aim of supporting developing countries in building local expertise, GSEP will specifically allocate a share of the scholarships to students pursuing master’s studies at universities located in developing countries. Our students are exceptional students from developing countries studying in sustainable energy development.
Today, the need for globally oriented practitioners and researchers is growing rapidly. Our one-of-a-kind scholarship program fosters the next generation of energy, climate and electricity sector professionals who will be ready to take on the challenges of the future.

In order to be eligible for the GSEP and ESED Scholarship Program for Developing Countries, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:

How to apply: To be considered for the GSEP and ESED Scholarship Program, applicants must follow these steps:

You must submit an electronic copy of all documents listed (below). Before starting your application, make sure you have all the required documents:

- A letter of admission to the master’s program of your choice
- Course outline for the master’s program (PDF or link)
- Latest university transcript
- Two references
You need to provide a complete copy of Academic reference form. The form must be completed in English and signed by the referee.
